Fortuna property and area information
• Fortuna is a small town situated between Murcia capital and Santomera. It is very known for its hot springs. The water that flows freely in Fortuna, gave life to a number of fountains such as la Higuera, la Cueva Negra, los Baños…, the thermal springs were already popular in Roman times and today Fortuna turned into an important spa town.
• The surrounding countryside (at times desert-like) is covered with the water that flows from its thermal springs. Visitors can admire the Cortao de las Peñas (two mountains split apart by the movement of the earth), or the Humedal del Ajauque and Rambla Salada, protected wetland areas of great beauty.
• Fortuna has become more and more popular due to its location with expats and foreigners looking to escape the busy summer costas to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the countryside and the typical Spanish way of life.
